Welcome to the Sawgrass Foundation website. We want to be sure that you are familiar with our organization. The Foundation is a charity run by members, funded by member donations, and dedicated to helping Club staff. Our assistance is focussed on educational stipends, crisis/hardship relief, and other charitable opportunities.

Crisis/Hardship Assistance

If you have employees who have acute personal needs then we may be able to help them with short-term financial assistance as a bridge through hardship instances. Please contact HR who will guide them to support from various sources, including The Sawgrass Foundation.


We are also designed to provide scholarships to staff or members of their direct family for those wishing to improve themselves through education

As managers and supervisors we ask that you remember our Foundation as a support option when you are discussing development opportunities with your staff or if any of them approach you about their aspirations for personal growth.

Many, if not most, people have a dream of improving themselves with new knowledge, new skills, or even higher degrees that can improve their position within their chosen field, or even open new doors to a different life that requires a higher educational level. As leaders, helping your staff to achieve their goals is part of the way you motivate and retain your employees.

We will be approaching you periodically to see if you know of any staff interested in pursuing further education. When staff submit scholarship applications, you will be notified via email to complete the Department Manager recommendation form. Thank you for your loyal support of the staff and our Foundation.

You should also be aware that we have the possibility of providing Mentors to staff to help discuss with them about the scholarship opportunities and perhaps put together an educational development plan. If you feel that one of your people would benefit from this let us know by completing a Mentor request together with the staff person or family member.
