Fellow SGCC Members,
The Sawgrass Foundation is pleased to announce that sixty-five needy employees have received stipends as a token of the support of the Membership during these times of crisis. These were staff that the Club was forced to reduce in hours and for many it also resulted in lower gratuities where tips were an integral part of their compensation.
Over 225 Members have contributed thus far to our Foundation, and over $28,000 are being disbursed for crisis relief. Your generosity has been amazing allowing us to collect these funds and distribute them in only about 5 weeks time. THANK YOU!
Some of the donations are still coming in and will provide the basis for later crisis support and for our second objective – providing education scholarships for employees and their families. We intend to periodically keep you informed about the Foundation.
